Key to Dreams--By Suzanne Delaney--United States

Key to Dreams

I remember them,
pale thoughts phrased in darkness-
like an instant in time.
The keys to a sea wind-to pearl tears
and memories grown luminous as wings.

Acres of goodness grow and glimmer
within dreams.
In the cool, bright, lavender mist of dawn we rise
ready to begin.

Suzanne Delaney is a retired Registered Nurse. A resident of Hawaii, USA she was born in Tasmania. She now has time to pursue her passion for writing poetry, creating collages and for traveling.

  2. Suzanne, What a great description of dreams. Thank you for sharing it. I really enjoyed it because it mirrors my very thoughts about dreams and I myself have found the key to the hidden messages that are revealed as I ponder and pray about them and acres of goodness have grown and glimmers within them.
    Love, Charlene

  4. Suzanne, I have read many books about dreams as I take medication for nightmares. Indeed, they are reflections of things we experience while we're awake, not prophesies of the future. How I wish I could see "Acres of goodness grow and glimmer" in my dreams. If you know how to make this happen, please pass along the info. Wonderful thought-provoking poem written with style and eloquence. Best wishes, Carolyn Devonshire
