A Donkey or A Fox--By Pijush Kanti Deb--India

A Donkey or A Fox

An ever-smiling face-
maybe, a nerve-soothing for all
and even some offensive swords are seen
returning from its magical domain
tarnishing themselves into innocuous flowers
yet it gets on my nerves
as season changes
and body, mind and soul react accordingly
making us impossible to be happy always
and we are not the inhabitant of heaven
to pull our lips always up to the ears.
To the burnt eyes,
something is there behind nothing to other
as they see a donkey or a fox
behind this kind of ever-bloomed smile.
Be careful friends!
As ethics reminds us
saying,
‘’Making friendship
with donkey or fox is equally hazardous’’
