flashback
dairy cows sauntering through fields
grain-filled silos shooting skyward
fields of corn rolling in the breeze
cats sipping milk in the weathered barn . . .
me
standing on the gravel road
breathing in this unspoiled life
bundling it up for later
past and present colliding
