Winter Divinity
First snow on tree tops,
Canadian pristine . . .
Nature's own beauty
Of spirit supreme.
Cascading waters
Of crystal clear birth
Instill serene pleasure
From heaven to earth.
As the lake mirrors mountains
And deep azure sky,
We commune together,
My God and I.

DeleteHi Connie....what a lovely poem this is!! Your words transmit a sense of beauty and calm. It is in such a picturesque and quiet environment that we feel the urge to talk heart to heart with the Lord. Well done! // paul

DeleteConnie dear, I so enjoyed reading this well written poem that depicts such serene scenes. Snow has always inspired peace in me. In fact it reminded me of a special night when I was living in Las Vegas, Nevada where it seldom snows. But that particular night it came down fast and hard covering everything like a clean white blanket. It was the first time I had ever seen snow and the street lights sparkled off the snow like trillions of tiny lights. The peace I felt was so incredible. Thank you for reminding me of this special time in my life. Your talent is unmistakable. Thank you for sharing with us here on Whispers.

Yes, Connie, you have captured such a serene beauty in this poem. There is something about new fallen snow that is breath taking and it's in your poem. Amazing. Living in Canada, it really struck home with me.
