Haiku--By Kelley White--United States

crickets
wind in a dozen kind of trees
the meeting house bell
_______________

fragrance of pine cones
spilled beneath the waterfall
darkening stones
_______________

grasshoppers buzzing
deep in the hay
song of a bird I do not know
_______________

leash tugging
as I stop to scrawl a poem
my little dog
_______________

leaves falling:
maple, birch, oak
the pine boughs rattling
_______________
