To My Husband
We first met in eighth grade,
as lab partners when we
had Science together.
Toward the end of the year,
there was to be a dance.
You asked me. I said, “yes”
and wore a yellow dress.
You wore a navy suit.
We stayed together all
through high school and
college
even though you went
to a college down in Boston
for journalism.
I now have a husband
who does news on TV.
We’ve been married ten years,
and it’s been wonderful.
Here’s hoping for many
more years of happiness
my dear husband, Michael!

Very good Suzanne, partner to a good husband as a great wife. A great mate that writes it all down in a positive way, with no frown. Very
ReplyDeletegood poem that says it all, making you capable of writing about every
subject you choose. Hats off to you and Michael forever.
