The Traveler--By Janet Vick--United States

The Traveler

Sorrow sparks,
settles in fears
thickened pain...
Weary tendrils,
dark flicker
curled, restless beast,
the traveler without trust.

Janet lives in rural Suffolk, Virginia with her husband, Randy. She loves the fresh air and space of country living. She works as a Registered Nurse in surgery. She is a mother of one and grandmother of two.

  1. Janet dear, you are spot on when it comes to describing a traveler without trust.... I am assuming in God. I myself have experienced all those maladies before I reached a point in my own life where I had to trust God or remain in misery. Thanks for a wonderful poem.

  3. This is a fantastic write, I surely loved reading it this evening. You have inspired me to write a similar poem that has been on my mind lately. I might submit it for this site when I'm through with it. Great work,
