Haiku--By Chen-ou Liu--Canada

migrants in single file ...
strawberry fields stretch
one after another
_______________

plump with juice
her freshly picked grapes...
the smell of sunshine
_______________

winter twilight
the one-legged veteran faces
with a resolving door
_______________

wailing siren ...
an old man on the beach
in winter mist
_______________

hand-me-down dream
twilight laughter drifting
from the orphanage

  1. What a fantastic display of Haiku! I really enjoyed the last one, I thought the imagery that you portray with these poems are surely wondrous and lovely. You have written a tremendous set of pieces that when read brings a fire to your belly, great work.
