God’s Gift of Friends
What a great joy
to have warm
and spirited friends
who care when I am
lonely or sad;
if only one or two
I am inspired
by their words
of love and hope.
I rejoice that God
selected each of them
especially for me.

retired language arts and children’s literature educator. He lives in Martin, GA, where he stays busy
with his art and poetry. He has been
published in a variety of venues.
True friends are definitely one of the greatest gifts on earth. :)
