Tender is the Weeping Heart--By Gerald Heyder--United States

Tender is the Weeping Heart

Render prayer unto heaven
ardent as lover’s kisses
for tender is the weeping heart
that weeps for all it misses.
Red are the tears in the glow
of roses that are dying
for open are the eyes that cry
to a world that’s always prying.
Secret are the passageways
to a soul forever searching;
black are the skies raining lies
to a distraught heart that’s hurting.
Bluest is the news that comes
to reap a tear that’s falling
for loneliness and emptiness
to a broken heart comes calling.
Forsaking shroud cry aloud
a plea that’s aimed for heaven
for tender is the weeping heart
that weeps through time it’s given.
