A Poet
yesterday….
compose some thoughts that reunify
the gist of reality and wisdom of life
strain all assumptions and then purify
my reckless expression of false pride
transition...
speak to others with rejuvenated voice
feel like a revival of my dormant spirit
that unleash my feelings and rejoice
with words that flow freely like lyrics
today...
play with words that reverberate inside
WHISPERS some inspiration and love
creates many words that kindle a light
and see myself as a mystic that whirl
and make me unique from the rest
to be a poet that is not anonymous

Dear Hifsa,
ReplyDeleteReally like your adaptation of the sonnet form to convey what we poets strive to do when we are at our best.
Thank you,
Michael
Hifsha,
ReplyDeleteA great poem. IK love the way you slip the Whispers website name into your poem.
Yours truly,

A poet is a voice. Wisdom. Pride. Pain. Bliss. Passion. Uniqueness. A poet is divine, bread, holds truth. A poet empowered by words. Enters realms and reigns kingdoms. A poet preserves and immortalizes life. I like your poem. Inspiring.
