Interruption--By Lois Greene Stone--United States

Interruption

Snowbelt living with lake-effect, grey skies,
frigid numbers recorded on a thermometer.
Brief break in the bleak sky and the sun
bathes a window pane;
the unusual pattern of a
clinging snowflake warms the space.

Lois Greene Stone, writer and poet, has been syndicated worldwide. Poetry and personal essays have been included in hard & softcover book anthologies. Collections of her personal items/ photos/ memorabilia are in major museums including twelve different divisions of The Smithsonian.

  1. Dear Lois,

    Those few words have a lot of imagery. It's one of the poems I call 'Muse me' poems. It makes me feel peaceful.

    Best wishes,
    Inge
