Editor's Thoughts/Hands--By Karen O'Leary--United States

Dear Whispers’ Friends,

In closing out this month, we will begin another.  It is a chance to share life experiences—our joys…our pain—and hopefully make a difference.  Our words span beyond borders with the opportunity to make a difference in this time of turmoil and pain.

Hands

the hope
for tomorrow--
fingers reaching beyond
angry voices and steel curtains
to touch

Let us begin a new season of love and understanding.  Many of you are shining lights in the writing community.  It is a pleasure to read your words here and in other venues. Thank you, all, for making Whispers possible.

Blessings,

Karen

  3. Karen,
This cinquain is absolutely beautiful and perfect for what the world needs now. Congratulations to you being an awesome editor. You touch a lot of countries even a lot of internet sites don't reach. Because of rising cost, I can only put out my print journal twice a year, $8 one issue, $22 for a 3 issue subscription. A high price to pay, I know, but am still mostly a not-for-profit magazine. I am keeping the price for $10 an issue for international subscribers.
    Yours truly,
    David Fox
P.S. Please put in my ad that I am a print-only mag, I am getting some people thinking I am on-line, which I am not.

  7. Beautifully written Karen, isn't it good to know that in all languages reaching out whatever the situation can help heal the barriers...? But I do often wonder when we will all learn...
