If
If all the words I’ve said
today
were printed in a book,
and I should have to read
them all,
I wonder how they’d look?
Would I be glad to see them
there
in black and white so plain?
Or, would I wish to blot them
out
and start over again?
I can’t erase the words I’ve
said,
but this I’ll bear in mind:
if perfect love is in my
heart,
my words will all be kind.
