From the Archives—One Line Moments—Featuring Sandra Stefanowich, Anne Curran, Beth Winchcombe, Elizabeth Howard, Phyllis Babcock, Jack Horne, and Barbara Tate

I thought I would showcase poems from one of Whispers’ activities for this months’ From the Archives column.  Poetry is a journey we should enjoy.  Although these activities aren’t meant to create perfect poems but more of an opportunity for writers of all levels can enjoy and grow, I am always amazed at the level of poetry these challenges inspire.  Special thanks to Sandra Stefanowich, editor for the original column, and to all the participants.  This is just a sample from the column.  I hope to feature more writers in the months ahead.

Sincerely,

Karen O’Leary—Whispers’ Editor

  2. These are all powerful examples of artistry in brevity. Every word has to count in building irony, conflict, resolution. Masterful examples!
