Mother’s Day
I never realized
how much she taught me
until I was grown
and needed those lessons.
The mother I am
with my own children
is her example. The way
I show love and caring
is also because she gave
both without conditions.
But there’s a quiet ‘thanks’
for giving me life.

Nice poem, Lois. Very touchable, I'm sure, for many of us in the lessons our mother's taught us. Precious memories. Thank you for sharing and continued blessings!
