I Wonder--By Eleanor Michael--United States

I Wonder

If I’m a poet
why can’t I write
endless rhyme,
stretch a thought
into innumerable
lines.  Or tell
you how the earth
moves underfoot --
though I try --
when confronted
by your wondrous
eyes…

Eleanor Michael has published poetry and short stories in a variety of venues.

  4. I have never had writer's block, thank goodness and I have been writing since 1976. I write what I see, what I feel and spiritually - what I hear from God...Great expression of your inner feelings - your words will come to you when you are ready, I am sure...Rhoda

  7. Hi Eleanor:
I agree that for some things words are totally inadequate. You convey that feeling
    perfectly,

  8. Thank you, everyone, for your kind words on Eleanor's poem. I will send your comments to her. Eleanor, your poetry speaks to others. I think most writers have wondered at one time or another if they really had what it takes to be a poet. As always, I enjoy your words, my friend. Keep your pen flowing.

    Blessings,
    Karen
