I Wonder
If I’m a poet
why can’t I write
endless rhyme,
stretch a thought
into innumerable
lines. Or tell
you how the earth
moves underfoot --
though I try --
when confronted
by your wondrous
eyes…

Hi Eleanor. I like your poem. I often ask myself the same thing when I get in a writing slump. Thank you for sharing and continued blessings!

I have never had writer's block, thank goodness and I have been writing since 1976. I write what I see, what I feel and spiritually - what I hear from God...Great expression of your inner feelings - your words will come to you when you are ready, I am sure...Rhoda

ReplyDeleteThus the question I sometimes ask myself when my mind gets void of what to write... Nice piece of work.
ReplyDeleteHi Eleanor:
ReplyDeleteI agree that for some things words are totally inadequate. You convey that feeling
perfectly,

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words on Eleanor's poem. I will send your comments to her. Eleanor, your poetry speaks to others. I think most writers have wondered at one time or another if they really had what it takes to be a poet. As always, I enjoy your words, my friend. Keep your pen flowing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen
