(For her daughter, Lora
May Wight)
They call me little curly head
But my name is Lora Mae
The reason why I talk so much
I have so much to say
With Roses on my shoulders
And slippers on my feet
I'm mama’s little darling
Don't you think I'm sweet?
Oh I can wash the dishes
And I can sweep the floor
And I can kiss my fellar
Behind the kitchen door!
But my name is Lora Mae
The reason why I talk so much
I have so much to say
With Roses on my shoulders
And slippers on my feet
I'm mama’s little darling
Don't you think I'm sweet?
Oh I can wash the dishes
And I can sweep the floor
And I can kiss my fellar
Behind the kitchen door!

Dear Annie,
DeleteThanks for this comment for my grand mother. She mostly wrote song lyrics which she sold to song companies, not getting any credit for what she wrote. Examplle, On my Dads cattle ranch in the pines colorado, staring through the window of that same Daughter Lora may, she wrote Moonlight becomes you. It became a famous love song. She called that my bavy song.
