Lilac Days in a Crystal Vase
March of the Lion, roar with
desire
winter exhaling, Spring takes a breath
Lilac aroma will waft through home,
a Crystal Vase placed sweetly there.

It's been moons since Mom's
passing
many good times penned in my journal
Dad lingered on for barely three years
then laid down beside her for life eternal.

I often reminisce of the old
Chevy wagon,
the kids piling in off to the swimming place.
a weekly journey taken, a memory gone
Remembrances survive special days.

Another serenade beginning
this June
I'll arrange my prize in that special way.
whites and purples with a reddish festoon.
